The Newest Top-Notch Luxury Vehicle Design: Cadillac XT6
In late 2018, Cadillac announced plans for its newest top-notch luxury vehicle: the XT6. This is Cadillac’s boldest crossover yet, with more room (and more curves) than the XT5, yet not as large or bulky as the Escalade. In early 2019, Cadillac announced the starting price for the XT6, which clocks in at a bit over $53,000.
You can choose from two different models: sport or premium luxury. No matter which model you choose, however, you can upgrade your vehicle with Cadillac’s Platinum Package, which includes extra safety features, a 360-degree camera system, a heads-up display, upgraded interior seats, and more.
Sport vs. Premium Luxury
The sport model is distinct in that it comes only in All Wheel Drive (AWD), while the premium luxury model comes with Front Wheel Drive (FWD) with AWD optional. Additionally, the sport model comes with a darkened exterior and a revamped interior, not to mention its retuned steering and optional 21-inch wheel, diamond-cut, android finish wheels.
Both models come with a 3.6L V6 engine complete with 310 horsepower and 271 lb/ft of torque with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Conversely, the top-notch luxury vehicle is equipped with start-and-stop technology, an upgraded damping system reworked from the XT5, and a taller roof – a much-anticipated change for the taller people in the back seats.
In fact, the taller roof was one of the most controversial parts of making the XT6. However, after much conversation between Cadillac executives and design crew, the change was deemed necessary. This design change helps the XT6 have a more global presence and expand beyond traditional U.S. consumers.
XT6’s Global Design Expanded
The XT6 comes with an infotainment system on an eight-inch display equipped with a reworked rotating dial that moves in different directions like a joystick – a positive alteration when compared to the XT4’s infotainment knob. A Bose sound system comes standard, and you can even get optional adaptive headlights – a much-appreciated addition to keep yourself and other drivers safer during the night.
Here are some other things you can expect from Cadillac’s newest top-notch vehicle:
• Authentic wood/carbon fiber interior accents
• Wireless phone charging capability
• Bluetooth capability
• USB ports
• Heated/cooled seats
• Forward-collision warning
• Automatic emergency braking system
• Parking sensors
• Lane-keeping assistance technology
• Standard seven-passenger seating
• Adaptive cruise control
